- Liased with industry partners to optimise WAAM processes parameters for microstructure, strength and defect mitigation using FE models
- Developed new surface heat source model which considers the curvature of weld bead.
- Implemented thermo-metallurgical predictions using Solid State Phase Transformation (SSPT).
- Designed and performed validation experiments using WAAM processes such as CW-MIG & PTA.
